OFFICIAL RULES (the “Contest Rules”)

CONTEST PERIOD:
The Contest runs from 10 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) March 16, 2018 to 11:59 p.m. ET April 13, 2018 (the “Contest Period”).

HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

To enter the Contest:

1) Watch the new episodes from the second season of “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” beginning March 16, 2018 at 6 p.m., and on Friday’s at 4 p.m. for the remainder of the Contest Period, via the local cable or satellite channel provider in your area to find the correct answer to the weekly trivia question during the broadcast of the weekly episode on Family during the Contest Period. When you have found the answer, you may enter the Contest by going to www.family.ca (the “Website”);

The answers will change weekly, as set out below:

Week 1:

March 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. until March 22 11:59 p.m.

Week 2:

March 23, 2018 at 12 a.m. until March 29, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.

Week 3:

March 30, 2018 at 12 a.m. until April 5, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.

Week 4:

April 6, 2018 at 12 a.m. until April 13, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.

2) Visit the Website and click on the “Say Bonjour to… Paris” contest icon displayed on the “Contests” section of the Website to access the Contest microsite. Watch the “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” trailer (which will be available during Week 4 of the Contest Period, only), obtain the correct answer to the trivia question on the Contest entry form. Once you have watched the trailer, you may enter the Contest by going to the Website, and

Then click on the ENTER button to access the standard Contest entry form. Fill out the entry form by correctly answering the trivia question, and entering your full name, city, province, age, phone number and email address, then submit your completed entry form.

A completed online entry form will constitute one entry into the Contest.

The only method of entry for this Contest is online entry (internet access required). Online entry is available through the Website only; no other means of submission will be accepted. Although online access and an email account are required in order to participate, no purchase is required in order to enter the Contest. Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts.

All eligible Contest entries will be entered for a chance to win a Prize.

ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open only to permanent lawful residents of Canada, who are at least 13 years of age, excluding: (i) residents of Quebec; (ii) any person, or any person whose immediate family members (i.e., parents, children, spouse, siblings, grandparents, the “steps” of each and persons residing in such immediate family members’ household), and persons with whom they are domiciled, has been declared a winner of another contest sponsored by DHX Television Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Family” or the “Contest Sponsor”), within 90 days of the start of the Contest Period; and (iii) employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents (and their immediate family members, or persons with whom they are domiciled) of the Contest Sponsor or The Agency Hotel, on behalf of XO Hotel (The Agency Hotel, and XO Hotel, together are the “Prize Provider”), and each of their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and advertising and promotional agencies involved in this Contest.. This Contest is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest in the event of any accident, or administrative or other error of any kind.

An entrant under the age of majority in his/her province of residence (a “Minor”) must have a parent or legal guardian consent to his/her participation. Proof of identification and parental consent must be provided upon request. If a parent or legal guardian does not provide consent, or if satisfactory proof of identification to confirm the winner’s (or the Minor winner’s parent/ legal guardian’s) identity and personal information provided in connection with the Contest, including but not limited to, the winner’s (or the Minor winner’s parent/ legal guardian’s) name and email address, cannot be obtained, the entry will be disqualified.

Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on April 13, 2018. Contest Sponsor takes no responsibility for entries that are lost, misdirected, delayed, garbled, incorrect, illegible or received after the Contest deadline. Limit one entry per person, per day in addition to a limit of four entries from the same household per day. Only one email address and account may be used by any person to enter the Contest. In the event that Contest Sponsor receives more than the permitted number of entries, Contest Sponsor reserves the right to void and destroy any entries from that entrant and household, and that entrant/household may, at the discretion of the Contest Sponsor, be disqualified from the Contest. Should it be discovered that an entrant is using the aid of computer programs to auto-fill entries, that entrant will be immediately disqualified from the Contest. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify all such entrants from future contests conducted by the Contest Sponsor without further notice
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address in question.

PRIZES
(referred to herein as “Prize(s)”, or “Grand Prize(s)” or as applicable)

There is one Grand Prize package available to be won, consisting of:

A family trip for four to Paris France, including:

Roundtrip economy airfare to Paris for 4 people including a minimum of 1 child; from the nearest international airport to the winners’ home servicing flights to Paris, France (selected by Family); (approximate retail value C$5,200.00)
7 nights hotel accommodation (one room, based on quad occupancy), including daily breakfast for 4 people at the XO Hotel in Paris (approximate retail value C$2,700.00); and
C$1,500.00 in spending money.
4 tickets to the Museum Grevin, with special guided tour (approximate retail value C$80.00)
(approximate retail value of the Grand Prize package is $9,480, but may vary depending on dates of travel, and the departure city)

All amounts are in Canadian dollars.

WINNER SELECTION
A random draw will be held at 10:00 a.m ET on April 23, 2018 at Family’s office located at 207 Queens Quay West, Suite 550, Toronto, Ontario. There will be one Grand Prize draw to fulfill this Contest. The chances of being selected to win a Prize in this Contest depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

GRAND PRIZE TRIP CONDITIONS:
By accepting the Prize, winner (or a Minor entrant’s parent/legal guardian on his/her behalf), agree to travel between May 25, 2018 and April 13, 2019 (the “Travel Period”). Travel must be booked by October 31, 2018. Entrants selected as the Grand Prize winner, and his/her guest(s), must be able to travel during the Travel Period or the selected Grand Prize winner and his/her guests, shall forfeit the Grand Prize. All travel is booked on behalf of the winners by the Contest Sponsor or their representative, and is based on availability.

The Prize winner and his/her guests will be responsible for obtaining any required travel, health and identification documents (which must be valid prior to and for the entire duration of the trip). Visit the Passport Canada website for detailed information on the new mandatory passport requirements http://www.passportcanada.gc.ca/. Winner and his/her guests are solely responsible for determining and obtaining all necessary travel documents, identification, and other travel requirements. The Releasees (as defined under the “Acceptance of Prize” section below) shall not be responsible for any winner, and/or his/her guests, in the event they are denied entry to a foreign country, re-entry to Canada, by customs officials of either country, and/or do not have the required travel documentation and identification, and in such event, the Contest Sponsor will not provide any compensation, or additional travel or accommodation the winner and his/her guests and the unused portion(s) of Prize shall be forfeited.

All costs and expenses not specifically included above as part of each Prize including, without limitation, taxes, fees, gratuities, travel insurance, items of a personal nature, meals, excursions, tours, parking, souvenirs, and merchandise (“Expenses”), are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his/her guests. The Prize winner and guests may not seek reimbursement for any Expenses from the Releasees (as defined under the “Acceptance of Prize” section below).

Lost or stolen tickets and travel vouchers will not be replaced. It is strongly recommended that the declared winner and his/her guests purchase medical, accident and baggage insurance. The Contest Sponsor and Prize Provider are not responsible in this respect. It is the responsibility of the declared winner and his/her guests to check with the airline for baggage restrictions.

The Prize Winner and his/her three guests must travel together on the same itinerary. No changes will be made to travel details once any portion of travel arrangements has been made, except as may be required due to availability and/or as may be required by the Contest Sponsor, or the Prize Provider in their sole and absolute discretion. The Grand Prize (and all elements thereof) is not redeemable for cash and is non-transferable except in the Contest Sponsors’ sole and absolute discretion. The Prize may not be sold or transferred to any other person or third party.

Actual retail value of the Prize trip package may be higher or lower based on departure schedules and locations and seasonal rates. If the actual value of the Grand Prize is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded.

Each of winner’s guests who is under 18 years of age at the time of departure (the “Minor Guest”), must either (i) travel with his/her parent or legal guardian who shall be one of winner’s guests and who shall be fully and legally responsible for the Minor Guest for the duration of the Grand Prize trip; and must stay in the same room as his/her parent or legal guardian; or (ii) if the Minor Guest is not traveling with his/her parent or legal guardian, the Minor Guest must stay in the same room with winner who is 18 years of age, or older, or with the Minor winner’s parent or legal guardian, in which case the Minor Guest’s parent or legal guardian must in advance appoint the winner, or Minor winner’s parent or legal guardian (as applicable) full legal custody and control over the Minor Guest and the ability to contract on his/her behalf for the duration of the Grand Prize trip. Each Minor Guest must meet the foregoing conditions in order for the Minor Guest to be eligible to accompany the winner on the Grand Prize trip.

ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE
A Family representative will notify each selected entrant, or the parent/legal guardian of each selected entrant who is a Minor, by telephone or email within two days of the draw. Each selected entrant will then have within 7 days following receipt of notification to contact Family and provide requested documentation to claim his/her Prize. Notification shall be deemed to have occurred, in the case of telephone notification, on the date that selected entrant, or in the case of a Minor, his or her parent or guardian, speaks with a representative of Family, or, in the case of email notification, the date the email is sent to the selected entrant’s email address by Family. It is the responsibility of the selected entrant or the selected Minor entrant’s parent/legal guardian to check his or her email account in a timely manner. Prior to being awarded a Prize, each entrant selected as a winner must correctly complete, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill testing question and must sign a declaration and release form (the “Declaration and Release”) confirming compliance with these Contest Rules, his/her acceptance of the Prize as awarded; and acknowledging the non-responsibility of the Contest Sponsor, Prize Provider, and each of their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, cable and satellite affiliates, associates, their respective promotional and advertising agencies, and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, agents, successors and assigns (the “Releasees”), with regard to any injury, accident, damage, claim, liability, loss or misfortune related to any aspects of the Contest, any Prize awarded, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession and delivery of a Prize, participation of winner and his or her guests in any Prize related activities, printing errors or claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. A Minor winner’s parent or legal guardian must sign the Declaration and Release on his/her behalf in order for the winner to claim his/her Prize.

Each of the winner’s guests must sign a release form similar to the winner’s Declaration and Release in order to be eligible to participate in the Grand Prize.

The Declaration and Release must be signed and returned within seven days from the date it was sent by Family. Should Family be unable to contact the selected entrant by telephone or email, or should a selected entrantbe unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question or does not respond and complete the Declaration and Release by the deadline specified above, that selected entrant will be deemed to have forfeited any rights to the Prize and an alternate entrant will be selected in the same manner, by random draw This process shall be repeated until such time as a selected entrant is confirmed to be a Prize winner or until there are no more eligible entries, but in any event no later than May 11, 2018. All Prize taxes, if any, are the responsibility of each winner. Limit one Prize per household.

Contest Sponsor, and Prize Provider will not be held responsible for the loss of any Prize due to changes in mailing addresses, errors in completed entry forms or any other circumstances leading to an invalid, erroneous or incomplete mailing address or email address.

Family or its appointed designee shall deliver Prizes to selected winner(s).

GENERAL CONDITIONS
By submitting an entry, each entrant (or Minor entrant’s parent or legal guardian on his/her behalf) agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules.

All entries become the property of Family and will not be returned.

Each Prize must be accepted “as is” and may not be exactly as shown. Contest Sponsor, and Prize Provider in their sole discretion, reserve the right to substitute any portion of a Prize with a prize of equivalent or greater retail value. Some restrictions may apply. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable and have no cash value. If the actual value of any Prize is less than the stated approximate retail value, the difference will not be awarded. All Prize elements are subject to availability.

All incidental costs and expenses, including but not limited to, batteries and additional accessories, (the “Expenses”) not specifically mentioned herein as part of the Prize description are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner. The Prize winner shall not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from the Contest Sponsor, or Prize Provider.

Except where prohibited by law, Contest Sponsor and Prize Provider do not make any representation nor offer any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize(s) awarded in connection with the Contest. Each Prize winner (or parent/legal guardian of a Minor winner) understands and acknowledges that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from the Contest Sponsor, or Prize Provider, should the Prize fail to be fit for any purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory to a Prize winner.

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to waive all rights with respect to print and broadcast publicity. By entering the Contest and accepting a Prize, the winner or Minor winner’s parent or legal guardian hereby consents to the reasonable use by Contest Sponsor of the winner’s name, age, photograph, voice, likeness and image, city and province/territory of residence, worldwide and in perpetuity, without any further compensation, for any future promotional activity in connection with this Contest.

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees that the Releasees shall bear no responsibility whatsoever with regard to any claims, liability, damage, injury, accident, loss and misfortune related to any aspects of the Contest, the Prize, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession and delivery of the Prize, participation of winner and his/her guests in any Prize related activities, printing errors, claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. By consenting to a Minor entrant’s entry into the Contest, the Minor entrant’s parent/legal guardian agrees to the foregoing on the Minor entrant’s behalf.

By entering the Contest and voluntarily providing personal information, each entrant (or the parent or legal guardian of a Minor entrant) consents and agrees to Family collection and use of the information provided by the entrant for the purpose of administering this Contest No purchase, payment or financial information of any kind is needed to enter or win the Contest. Contest Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of registration or entry information which may affect an entrants’ inability to get through on the internet during the promotion or ability to participate in the Contest, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed/corrupted data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, any inability to access the site, or damage to a user’s system occasioned by participating in the Contest, and entries which fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules.

Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend a contest for any reason, including without limitation in the event of any printing, administrative error, virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond its control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Family and its sponsors are not responsible for preemption, cancellation, or interruption, in whole or in part, of any Family contest related programming.
