“The Club Med Live Large”
The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc. (the “Organizer”) is the Organizer of “The Club Med Live Large” Contest (the “Contest”).
The begins on October 12, 2017 (the “Start date of the Contest “), at 00:01 a.m. (Eastern Time Zone) and ends on November 9, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time Zone; the “End date of the Contest “).
The Contest is intended solely for residents of Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick who have reached majority age in their province of residence on the start date of the contest and who have signed up for the AIR MILES® Reward Program (the “Participants”). If the Participant has not signed up for the AIR MILES® Reward Program (the “Program”) he may join the program on line at www.airmiles.ca*. Joining is free and immediate. The Participant must ensure that the address and telephone number provided to the Program are at all times accurate to allow the Organizer to contact him should the need so arise.
The employees of the Organizer, their subsidiaries, all the establishments affiliated to the Organizer (all the employees of The Jean Coutu Group’s head office and all the employees of the Jean Coutu network, as well as the representatives, and official advertising or promotional agencies of the Contest (the “Partners”), or any other stakeholders directly tied to the holding of this Contest, as well as the persons with whom they are domiciled, are forbidden to enter this Contest.
There are two ways to enter the Contest. The participant may enter either with or without purchasing a participating product.
With a purchase
Between October 12 and November 9, 2017 of a participating product advertised in the Jean Coutu weekly flyer for October 12, October 19, October 26 and November 2nd, 2017 (Quebec), or for October 13, October 20, October 27 and November 3th, 2017 (Ontario and New Brunswick), and/or any product identified at a participating Jean Coutu store and who present a valid AIR MILES® card, a contest entry will be automatically registered.

The Participant can enter the Contest by emailing their entry to firstname.lastname@example.org from October 12 at 12:01 am to November 9, 2017 before 11:59 pm.
a) The Participant must provide all of the information required to be eligible for the draw;
b) Indicate the name of the contest in the subject line of their email;
c) Write a fifty (50) word letter explaining why they should win the Prize (defined hereinafter);
d) Indicate their AIR MILES™ number;
e) Answer the following question correctly:
1. Mathematical skill-testing question: (100 – 59) + 25
There is a limit of four (4) entries by Participant and per email. Additional entries will be disqualified. A Participant can not use more than one email address to enter the Contest.
For the purposes of these rules, the Participant is the person whose name appears on the AIR MILES® Collector Account, and this is the person that the prize will be awarded if he/she is selected and declared a winner.
On November 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. (Eastern Time Zone), twenty-five (20) Participants will be selected electronically at random (the “Selected Participant”) by PROMOTION SOLUTIONS located at 2261 Royal Windsor, Unit C in Mississauga, Ontario.
The Winner (defined below) will be awarded the following prize (the “Prize”) :
“A one-week, all-inclusive vacation package for two (2) adults for seven (7) days“ from January 27, 2018 to February 3th, at Club Med Cancún Yucatán, in the Mexico, worth approximately C$4,700, including:
• Round-trip economy class airfare between Montreal and Mexico.
• All meals from lunch on the date of arrival to breakfast on the date of departure, entertainment, Club Med lounge and festive evenings, snacks and open bar (excluding VSOP spirits and champagne*), and open access to sports facilities and group lessons.
• Travel assistance.
• An information session at the hotel to explain the vacation schedule.
• All meals throughout the stay at Club Med.
• An activity program for 2, selected at the discretion of the Contest Organizers.
The following conditions apply: All costs or expenses other than those provided for in the above section shall be borne by the winners and/or their guests, including excess baggage charges; telephone service; long distance calls; Internet usage; vaccination fees; fees to obtain passports, visas, or other required travel documents; insurance; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages not included; tips; personal expenses and transportation to and from the Montreal airport. Travel must occur on the date chosen by the organizer (to be confirmed) or the prize will be void. Dates are subject to change without notice. Once reservations have been made, no changes will be accepted for the duration of the trip, and the names of the guests cannot be changed. Winners their guests must travel together and follow the same itinerary. If a portion of the prize is not used for any reason beyond the control of the Organizer, no compensation will be provided to winners or their guests.
Winners and their travel companions are solely responsible for making sure they have valid passports and/or any other documents required for travel (visa, birth certificate, travel insurance, etc.). Passports must be valid for a period of 6 months after the return date. In the event that winners and/or their travel companions are unable to travel because they do not have the proper travel documents, the prize will be void with no form of compensation and a new draw will be held.
The Organizer and Partners assume no liability nor will they provide a refund in the event of, without limitation, noncompliance with rules relating to baggage, incomplete or missing travel documents, missed flights or transfers, or noncompliance with customs rules.
The Organizer and Partners cannot be held responsible in the event that Winners and/or their travel companions are denied entry into the country of destination or into Canada upon return for any reason whatsoever; any unused portion of the Prize will consequently be forfeited.
No compensation will be awarded if the trip, or elements of the trip (flight cancellation, activity cancellation, hotel change, etc. [this is only a partial list]), must be cancelled for reasons beyond the organizers’ control (natural or meteorological disaster, riots, a political situation that risks putting the travellers’ lives in danger, a strike, etc.) and where contractual obligations on the part of the organizers with its suppliers do not allow for a reimbursement of the sums paid to the supplier in the name of the contest winner.
Any vehicle providing transportation as part of a trip, including transit (bus or train) to the destination and the aircraft will depart at the time and location that will be specified in due time. Should winners or guests be absent or late, the vehicle(s) will depart without them. If any person misses such a means of transportation for this reason or for any other reason beyond the control of the organizer, said person must assume the cost of getting to the destination (including return to Montreal) at his/her own expense, without any compensation from the organizer. The Organizer and other beneficiaries of the contest are released from any responsibility and shall in no way be liable for costs and damages that this person may suffer if the means of transportation leaves without him/her.
The value of the Prize is approximate and no payment, reimbursement, or monetary compensation will be made in the event that the final cost of the Prize for the Organizer is less than C$4,700 for any reason whatsoever
To be declared a Winner, the Selected Participant must:
be reached by telephone by the Organizer within 3 days following the selection of the Selected Participant. If the Selected Participant is not reached within the determined delay, his contest entry will be cancelled and a second Selected Participant will be selected. If the second Selected Participant is not reached within 3 days following the second selection, his contest entry will be cancelled and no other Selected Participant will be selected and the Prize will not be awarded;
have answered correctly a math skill-testing question on the Declaration and the Organizer Liability Exemption form (the “Form”);
have accepted the Prize as described here in (the “Rules”), which may not be transferred, modified or exchanged in part or in whole against a sum of money or any other value;
have completed and signed the Declaration and the Organizer Liability Exemption form (the “Form”) and have returned it to the Organizer in the delay indicated in the e-mail accompanying the Form. Should the Winner fail to return the Declaration and the Organizer Liability Exemption form in the required delay, the Prize will be awarded to another Participant;
have accepted the conditions relative to the Prize;
Have the right to travel outside Canada during the validity period of the travel package.
The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the Contest closing date.
LoyaltyOne, Inc. (“LoyaltyOne”) is in no way connected to the management of the Contest.
The refusal of a Selected Participant to accept the Prize frees the Organizer and the Partners of all their obligations relative to the Prize towards this Selected Participant.
The Organizer and the Partners reserve the right, at their entire discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend, in whole or in part, this Contest should an event occur or any other human intervention have tainted or adversely affected the administration, security, impartiality or the normal unfolding of the Contest as provided for in these Contest Rules and, in accordance to the approval of la Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In all cases, The Organizer and its subsidiaries and all establishments affiliated to the Organizer and the Partners may not be held to attribute more than one prize or to attribute a prize otherwise than in compliance to these Rules.
The personal information gathered on Participants regarding this Contest is used solely to administer this Contest and is subject to the policy on privacy protection. No communication, commercial or other, not linked to this Contest, will be sent to The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc., except if the Participant has authorized The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc. or its affiliated companies, if applicable, to do so.
The Organizer and the Partners assume no responsibility of whatever nature in all cases where their incapacity to act would result from an occurrence or a situation beyond their control or a strike, a lock-out or any labour dispute in their stores, organizations or firms whose services are used to hold the Contest.
The Organizer and the Partners incur no responsibility for any problem including but not limited to: a technical failure of the networks or the telephone lines, the on line computer systems, servers or suppliers, computer equipment, software, or any other problem resulting directly or indirectly from a virus, a bug or a data transmission failure.
By entering this Contest, the Winner authorizes the Organizer and the Partners, their partners and representatives to use, if required, his names, picture, image, his declarations relative to the Prize, his place of residence and/or his voice without any form of remuneration, at their discretion and without limits as to the period of use, in any media, throughout the world, for advertising purposes or for any other purpose.
If for reasons beyond their control and not related to the Winners, the Organizer and the Partners could not award the Prize (or a portion of the Prize) as described in the official Contest Rules, they reserve the right to award a prize (or a portion of the Prize) of the same nature or of an equivalent value, at their own discretion, the value of the Prize (or a portion of the Prize) in cash.
The Winner frees the Organizer and the Partners, its advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives for any accident of whatever nature they could experience when entering the Contest or for any damage of whatever nature that they could experience following the acceptance and the use of their Prize.
The Organizer has duly paid the rights required regarding this Contest in accordance with the Act respecting lotteries, advertising contests and amusement machines (L.R.Q., chapter L-6).
Any dispute regarding the organisation of a promotional contest may be referred to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to be settled. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be referred to the Régie solely in view of resolving the issue.
Any Participant who fails to comply with these Rules may be disqualified.
Any false declaration on the part of a Participant will automatically disqualify his contest entry.
The decisions of the Organizer and the Partners are final and may not be appealed.
