RULES OF THE UNIVERSITAS CONTEST:
“An RESP for a Bright Future”

1. PRIZE DESCRIPTION
1.1 Secondary Prizes: Twenty (24) iPad mini 2 tablets (32GB with Wi-Fi); the retail value of each is
$329. Twelve (12) tablets are for Quebec residents and twelve (12) tablets are for New
Brunswick residents.
1.2 Grand Prize: One (1) REFLEX Plan RESP worth up to $15,000 in educational assistance
payments for a child aged 0-9 year inclusive on the draw date.

2. CONTEST PERIOD
2.1 Contest opens December 2, 2016, and closes at midnight – Eastern Standard Time (EST) – on
December 1, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Period”).
2.2 Two (2) random draws will be held every month at the Universitas head office (located at 1035
Wilfrid-Pelletier Avenue, Suite 500, Quebec QC G1W 0C5) from among all the eligible entries
received during a given month. These draws will determine the monthly winners of the
Secondary Prizes described under paragraph 1.1., in accordance with the monthly entry
periods listed below (hereinafter the “Monthly Entry Periods”):

2.3 The random draw to determine the winner of the Grand Prize described under paragraph 1.2
will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 3 p.m. (EST) from among all the eligible entries
received during the Contest Period. The draw will be held at Universitas’ head office, located
at Centre d’affaires Henri-IV, 1035 Wilfrid-Pelletier Avenue, Suite 500, Quebec QC G1W 0C5.

3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 To enter the “An RESP for a Bright Future!” contest, participants must fill out the printed
entry coupon and give it to an authorized scholarship plan representative, or mail it to the
Universitas Management Inc head office at Centre d’affaires Henri-IV, 1035 Wilfrid-Pelletier
Avenue, Suite 500, Quebec QC G1W 0C5. Participants may also complete the online entry
form available at universitas.ca/annualcontest
3.2 Only one (1) coupon/online entry per person for a same child will be accepted during the
Contest Period. A participant can enter the contest multiple times for different children by
filling out an entry coupon per child, and a same child can be registered several times by
different participants. A same person cannot register the same child multiple times; failure to
comply will result in the entry being voided.
3.3 The odds of winning a Secondary Prize depend on the participant’s province of residence and
on the number of eligible entries received during the Monthly Entry Period (outlined
paragraph 2.2.) the participant entered the contest.
3.4 The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during
the Contest Period described in paragraph 2.1.
3.5 No purchase necessary.
4. PARTICIPATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
4.1 The contest is open to Quebec residents, aged 18 years and older, and to New Brunswick
residents aged 19 years and older.
4.2 To be eligible for the draw, both the real name and date of birth of a child (aged 0-9 years
inclusive on the draw date) must appear on contest coupon/online entry form.
4.3 The following individuals are not eligible to enter this contest: employees and
agents/mandataries of Universitas Management Inc. and the Universitas Foundation of
Canada, scholarship plan representatives and branch managers of Universitas Management
Inc., and the members of the contest committee that oversees the random draw. All
immediate family members of the above (parents, siblings, children and spouses) or
individuals residing at the same address are also considered as ineligible.

5. AWARDING OF THE PRIZES
5.1 By taking part in this contest, each participant authorizes Universitas Management Inc. and
the Universitas Foundation of Canada to use his name and/or image, including his photograph
and/or voice, and place of residence (city and province only) solely for publicity purposes
related to this contest, without compensation.
5.2 Notwithstanding the above paragraph 5.1, each participant’s personal information and that of
the child indicated on the contest coupon/online entry form, such as name, complete mailing
address, phone number, email address and age is collected solely for contest management
purposes of and shall not be used for any other purpose without consent. However, if the
information request box on the entry form is checked off, the participant consents to the use
of his information as indicated next to the box.
5.3 Universitas Management Inc. will contact each winner within fifteen (15) days following the
draw date.
5.4 To be declared a winner, a participant who wins one of the random draws must answer a
mathematical skill-testing question correctly. If the selected participant is unable to answer
the mathematical skill-testing question correctly, or if he cannot be reached within fifteen
(15) days following the draw date, his entry will be cancelled and another entry will be drawn
until the prizes are awarded.
5.5 Each winner will be able to claim their prize by contacting Universitas Management Inc., the
contest organizer, by mail at Centre d’affaires Henri-IV, 1035 Wilfrid-Pelletier Avenue, Suite
500, Quebec QC G1W 0C5, or by email at info@universitas.ca, in the fifteen days following the
date of random draw the participant won.
5.6 Refusal to accept a prize releases Universitas Management Inc. and the Universitas
Foundation from any liability or obligation toward the winners.
5.7 The Grand-Prize winner will have to meet with a scholarship plan representative to sign his
scholarship plan agreement and will have to provide his social insurance number (SIN) and
that of the child named as beneficiary in the twelve (12) months follow the signature of the
agreement.
5.8 Refusal to meet an authorized scholarship plan representative is considered a refusal to accept
the prize won, and releases Universitas Management Inc. and the Universitas Foundation of
Canada from any liability or obligation toward the winner, as stipulated under paragraph 5.6.
5.9 The Grand-Prize winner must become a subscriber. As such, he must waive all claim to the
capital used to establish the scholarship plan.
5.10All entries will remain the property of Universitas and will not be returned to the participants.
5.11Each winner will be required to sign a document attesting to his contest eligibility and
compliance to these rules.

5.12Each winner releases Universitas Management Inc. and the Universitas Foundation of Canada
from any liability for damages or losses stemming from participation in this contest, or from
the awarding, acceptance or use of a prize.
5.13Universitas Management Inc. and the Universitas Foundation of Canada offer no warranty on
the Secondary Prizes. Each winner will have to contact the manufacturer directly in the event
of deficiency or damage.
5.14Each prize must be accepted as awarded and is not redeemable for cash. The prizes cannot be
sold or transferred. This offer may not be combined with any other promotion offer from
Universitas Management Inc. and/or the Universitas Foundation of Canada.
5.15 Universitas Management Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize for other of equal or
superior value, without prior notice.
5.16Contest participation implies acceptance of these rules, which shall be applied by Universitas
Management Inc. All decisions by the latter are final.
5.17The Grand-Prize winner must comply with the terms and conditions described in the
prospectus. A copy of the prospectus can be obtained by sending a written request to the

5.18Universitas Management Inc. and/or the Universitas Foundation reserve the right to suspend
and/or modify the contest from one year to the next without prior notice.
5.19The contest and its rules are subject to the laws in effect in the province of Quebec and shall
be interpreted pursuant thereto.
