The Contest runs from 8:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time (EDT) on April 10, 2017, to 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 30, 2017 (hereinafter: the “Contest Period”).

ELIGIBILITY This Contest is open to all residents of Ontario and Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence with the exception of employees, agents and legal or other representatives of the Contest Organizer or its affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, participating retailers or suppliers of prizes, equipment or services related to the Contest or any other party related directly to the conduct of the Contest as well as their immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, parents), legal or common-law spouses and other persons with whom these employees, agents and legal or other representatives reside.

HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Contest, please submit your BLT recipe in English or in French (hereinafter: the “Recipe”) by completing the entry ballot available on the website www.bestblt.com or www.meilleurblt.com (hereinafter collectively: the “Website”) providing the identification information requested. A BLT must contain bacon, lettuce and tomato (hereinafter: the “Basic Ingredients”), but participants may add other ingredients as long as the Basic Ingredients are present. Recipes must be clear and easy to make and include only ingredients that are regularly carried at grocery stores at non-exorbitant prices (for example, the use of filet mignon, foie gras or caviar is prohibited). Judgments in this regard will be made at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer. The Contest Organizer will translate, or have translated, the Recipes from French to English or from English to French, as the case may be.
No purchase required.
Limit one entry per person during the Contest Period.
The Recipe must be accompanied by a photo of the BLT prepared following the Recipe (hereinafter: the “Photo”). A field is provided on the entry ballot for uploading the Photo. Photos may include decorative elements (for example, utensils, Recipe ingredients, table accessories), but the BLT must be the main subject of the Photo. Photos may not include people or animals. Judgments in this regard will be made at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer.
Recipes and Photos submitted (hereinafter collectively: the “Submissions”) may not contain inappropriate elements and must be suitable for a family audience. More specifically, by entering the Contest, participants agree not to enter Submissions containing any derisory, unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, blasphemous or indecent elements, elements constituting flagrant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred or harassment, or elements unrelated to the theme or spirit of the Contest. The Contest Organizer will determine at its sole discretion which Submissions are acceptable or not.
By making a Submission on the Website, each participant: (a) affirms and guarantees that s/he is the author of the Recipe and holds all necessary rights, including copyright, to make the Submission for the purpose of the Contest and to grant the licence provided in (c); (b) affirms and guarantees that making the Submission on the Website and the uses provided in (c) do not infringe upon the rights of any third party; (c) automatically grants (or guarantees that the holder of rights to the Photo expressly grants) to the Contest Organizer and its affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and partners nonexclusive, universal, unlimited, perpetual, royalty-free and irrevocable licence to use the Submission or any portion thereof, including, but not limited to, its copying, public display, transfer, adaptation, exploitation, broadcast, translate in any language, transmission, communication and distribution and the creation of compilations and derivative works based on the Submission or any portion thereof for advertising or promotional purposes relating to the Contest Organizer’s products, services or activities. Each participant represents and guarantees further that s/he (or any person holding copyright to the Submission or any portion thereof) has waived his/her “moral rights” concerning the Submission in favour of the Contest Organizer and its affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and partners.
The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withdraw any Submission that fails to comply with the Rules and to disqualify the participant who submitted it.
By entering, each participant agrees fully and unconditionally to be bound by the Rules and by the decisions of the Contest Organizer or its representatives. The awarding of Prizes (defined below) is conditional on a selected participant’s compliance with all requirements set out in the Rules.

SELECTION OF WINNERS
The Recipes, accompanied by the Photos and the titles indicated by the participants, will be posted on the Website between 8:00 a.m. EDT on May 1, 2017, and 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 10, 2017 (hereinafter: the “Electronic Voting Period”). During the Electronic Voting Period, members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite Recipe using the voting system implemented on the Website to a limit of one vote per person, per day. To vote, members of the public must either visit the Website and identify themselves using their e-mail address or text the message to 1-855-910-7374.

The two participants who submitted the Recipes having received the greatest number of public votes during the Electronic Voting Period will be declared finalists subject to their fulfilment of the conditions set out in paragraph 5 of the Rules (hereinafter: the “Finalists”). The votes will be counted at 10:00 a.m. EDT on May 11, 2017, at the Contest Organizer’s offices at the address indicated in the first paragraph of the Rules. In the event of a tie, the Contest Organizer may, at its sole discretion, break the tie by selecting its favourite Recipe. If necessary, the Contest Organizer will make this selection at or around 10:00 a.m. EDT on May 11, 2017, at its office at the address indicated in the first paragraph of the Rules.
The winner will be announced at or around 6:15 p.m. EDT on June 3, 2017, at the Contest Organizer’s booth at the Bacon Fest event taking place at ExpoCité Québec at 250 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, Québec City, Quebec, G1L 5A7 (hereinafter: the “Bacon Fest”). The Finalists’ Recipes will be prepared by the Contest Organizer and served to members of the public attending Bacon Fest who will then be asked to vote for their favourite Recipe by placing a paper ballot in a designated box at the Contest Organizer’s booth. This voting will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EDT (hereinafter: the “In-Booth Voting Period”). The votes will be counted between 4:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. EDT. The Finalist who submitted the Recipe having received the greatest number of public votes during the In-Booth Voting Period will be declared the winner subject to his/her fulfilment of the conditions set out in paragraph 6 of the Rules (hereinafter: the “Winner”). The preparation and service of the Recipes at Bacon Fest and associated costs will be the entire responsibility of the Contest Organizer. The Contest Organizer agrees to prepare, or have prepared, the Recipes making reasonable efforts to follow the Recipe directions but provides no guarantees, and the Finalists will have no recourse, in this regard, including, but not limited to, where a Finalist is not satisfied with the quality of the ingredients used or the manner in which a Recipe was prepared or served at Bacon Fest.

PRIZES
Finalist Prizes. Each of the two Finalists will be awarded a prize (valued at approximately $1,200 each) consisting of a two (2) night stay for two (2) persons on June 2 and 3, 2017, at Hôtel Sainte-Anne located at 32 Sainte-Anne Street, Québec City, Quebec, G1R 3X3, including breakfast, a $500 gift certificate and two (2) VIP tickets to Bacon Fest (for option B, as determined by Bacon Fest, visit http://www.quebecbaconfest.com/ [in French only] and click “Billetterie” for details) (hereinafter: the “Finalist Prizes”). If a finalist resides at more than 450km of the Expo-Cité in Quebec city, the transport fees, by plane, for two people, to the airport of Quebec City will be paid by the organizer of the contest. All expenses incurred by the Finalists and their guests other than as specified above are excluded from the Finalist Prizes and remain the entire responsibility of the Finalists and their guests. Excluded expenses include, but are not limited to, transportation costs, gratuities, insurance premiums, minibar and room service charges, hotel security deposits (where applicable), out-of-pocket expenses (other than as indicated above) and any other personal and incidental expenses. The Finalists will be responsible for providing their own transportation to the hotel and to Bacon Fest. Finalists or their guests will not be eligible for any form of compensation for any unused portion of Finalist Prizes.

Winner’s Prize. A trophy (valued at approximately $250) will be presented to the Winner (hereinafter: the “Winner’s Prize”).
The odds of winning a Finalist Prize or the Winner’s Prize (hereinafter collectively: the “Prizes”) depend on the total number of Submissions received during the Contest Period and the number of votes received during the Electronic Voting Period and the In-Booth Voting Period respectively.

CLAIMING FINALIST PRIZES
To be declared Finalists, the selected participants must:
be contacted by telephone by the Contest Organizer or its representatives within seven (7) days following the end of the Electronic Voting Period;

correctly answer, unassisted, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Contest Organizer via telephone;

Failure to comply with any of the conditions set out in the preceding paragraph or any other condition provided in the Rules will result in cancellation of the participant’s entry. Where applicable, the participant who submitted the Recipe having received the third-greatest number of votes will then be declared a Finalist subject to fulfilment of the conditions set out in paragraph 5 of the Rules, and so on, until two Finalists have been designated.
The Finalist Prizes will be delivered either in person or via registered mail, depending on the location of each Finalist’s residence, within five (5) days following receipt of the duly completed and signed Release Form.
To accompany the Finalists in the use of their Finalist Prizes, guests of the Finalists must also sign a standard declaration and liability release form (hereinafter: the “Guest Release Form”) confirming that they agree to be bound by the Rules and by the decisions of the Contest Organizer or its representatives, to release the Contest Organizer and its affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, participating retailers and suppliers of prizes, equipment or services related to the Contest, and any other party related to the conduct of the Contest as well as their respective administrators, directors, employees, agents and representatives (hereinafter collectively: the “Designated Persons”) from any liability under the terms of paragraph 7.5 of the Rules, and to authorize the Contest Organizer or its partners and representatives to use their name, photograph, image, likeness, statements concerning the Prizes or the Contest and city of residence at its discretion for advertising purposes or any other purpose deemed relevant, in any media worldwide, without any form of compensation or limit as to duration of use. The Guest Release Form must be returned to the Contest Organizer by the date indicated by the Contest Organizer to the Finalists. have complied with the Rules.

Failure to comply with any of the conditions set out in the preceding paragraph or any other condition provided in the Rules will result in cancellation of the selected Finalist’s participation. The other Finalist will then be declared the Winner subject to fulfilment of the conditions set out in paragraph 6 of the Rules. If neither Finalist complies with the conditions set out in paragraph 6 of the Rules, then no Winner will be chosen, and the Contest Organizer will not be obliged to award the Winner’s Prize to anyone.
The Winner’s Prize will be awarded in person on-site at Bacon Fest following identification of the Winner.
