Contest Rules and Regulations
1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Fashion Truck Tour Contest (hereinafter, the “Contest”) is organized by Lavo Inc. (the “Organizer”). The Contest is open in Quebec only from April 3, 2017 at noon (ET) to May 14, 2017 at 23:59 p.m. (ET) (the “Contest Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to enter this Contest, entrants (defined below) must be:
a. residents of Canada and
b. have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence on the date the Contest opens.
The Contest is not open to the employees, representatives or agents of the Organizers, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes relating to the Contest, members of their immediate families (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), legal or de facto spouse and any persons with whom they are domiciled, regardless of family relationship.
3. THE CONTEST
From April 3 to May 14, 2017, participants must go to http://laparisienne.ca/en/camionafringues/ (“Contest website”) to access the Contest promotion page. They must follow the instructions to complete and send their official online entry form, including first and last name, email address, and phone number. They must declare that they agree to all of the Contest entry rules by checking the applicable box. Once these steps have been completed, the entrants will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize draw.
The “Fashion Truck Tour” squad will visit fifteen (15) retailers, where consumers may enter the Contest and have a chance to win an instant prize.
Consumers who participate via the retail tour squad will have a chance to win one of the instant prizes, which are: one (1) entry form for the Grand Prize draw; one (1) gift basket valued at $50; one (1) gift card valued at $20, redeemable at the visited merchant’s store. The prizes are described in point 4 of these rules and regulations. Entrants must complete the entry form on the provided iPad, including their first and last names, phone number, and email address. The tour dates are April 14 to May 7, 2017.
NO PURCHASE REQUIRED
Entrants must comply with the following limit, failing which they will be automatically disqualified without advance notice: one (1) entry per person per day of retail activity during the Contest Period.
4. PRIZES
4.1 The Grand Prize
Entrants may participate on La Parisienne website at http://laparisienne.ca/ or via the iPads provided during the fifteen (15) in-store activities.
One “Fashion Night” event for you and ten (10) friends
The Grand Prize includes:
An expert stylist from Clin d’œil magazine
a seamstress
catering service
one hair/makeup artist
a fashion photographer
gifts courtesy of La Parisienne and Clin d’œil
The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred or redeemed for cash. Should the Grand Prize not be accepted in accordance with its conditions, it shall be deemed cancelled.
The following conditions apply to the Grand Prize:
The “Fashion Night” will be booked subject to the availability of the professionals involved at the time the booking is made;
The Winner is solely responsible for all personal expenses that are not listed as being included in the Prize;
The date of the “Fashion Night” must be arranged with a representative of Promotions Speed Inc. and must be held within a minimum of two (2) weeks or maximum of four (4) months following the date on which the winners are announced, which is May 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT);
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred or redeemed for cash. Should the Prize not be accepted in accordance with its conditions, it shall be deemed cancelled.
In the event that the value of a “Fashion Night” should prove to be lower than the value indicated below, no monetary compensation shall be granted to the winner.
The total value of the Grand Prize in this contest is $2,500 CAD.
4.2 Secondary prizes
4.2.1 Thirty (30) gift baskets of La Parisienne and Clin d’œil products, valued at $50 each, will be awarded at a rate of two (2) baskets per visited store.
4.2.2 Two hundred and twenty five (225) gift cards of $20 each will be awarded at a rate of fifteen (15) cards per visited store.
Each gift basket contains:
1 x detergent, 1.52 L
1 x fabric softener, 1.65 L
1 x bleach, 1.89 L
1 x box fabric softener sheets (80 sheets)
1 x bath towel
1 x reusable storage basket
4.2.3 The total value of secondary prizes is: $7,500 CAD.

4.2.4 The total value of all prizes to be awarded is: $10,000 CAD.
5 PRIZE DRAWS
The prize draw will be held on May 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (ET) at the offices of Promotions Speed Inc. (the “Agent”) at 3700 Saint-Patrick St., Ste. 318, Montreal QC H4E 1A2. The winner will be selected from all valid entries received during the Contest Period by the methods of participation described previously.
The random draw for the Grand Prize will be done at the end of the Fashion Truck Tour from all valid entry forms received during the Tour. A Promotions Speed representative will contact the winner by phone or by email within seven (7) business days of the draw. The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of valid entry forms received by the end of the Tour.
6 AWARDING OF PRIZES
To be declared the winner of the Grand Prize, the individual whose entry form is drawn must:
6.1.1 Be reached by telephone or email by the Organizer or its partners within seven (7) business days of the draw;
6.1.2 Be eligible for the Contest as specified in point 2 of these rules;
6.1.3 Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question on the Waiver of Liability form (the “Waiver”) sent by Speed;
6.1.4 Duly complete and sign the Waiver and return it to the Organizer or its partners by fax or in digital form by email within seven (7) days of its receipt. Upon receipt of the duly completed and signed Waiver, the Organizer or its partners will contact the selected winner to coordinate the awarding of the prize and the conditions pertaining thereto;
6.1.5 The Contest Organizer or designated representative will make at least two (2) attempts to reach the selected winner within five (5) business days of the draw, using the information provided on the entry form. The selected winner will have seven (7) business days from the first contact to call the Contest Organizer back, failing which the selected winner will be disqualified. If the selected winner cannot be reached during the aforementioned seven (7) days, does not meet all of the conditions listed in these rules or refuses to accept the Prize as awarded, the entrant will be disqualified and another eligible entrant shall be chosen at random from all remaining valid entry forms.
6.1.6 On request and in a timely fashion, provide one piece of photo identification.
7 WAIVER OF LIABILITY
To be declared a winner, the selected person must sign a declaration of compliance with the Contest rules to release and hold harmless the Contest Organizer, their advertising and promotional agencies, providers of material, services and prizes, as well as their respective affiliated companies, administrators, directors, owners, associates, employees, agents, representatives, heirs and legal representatives (the “Beneficiaries”) from all responsibility and damage of any kind that might occur as a result of entering or attempting to enter the Contest and/or the acceptance and use of the prize.
The Beneficiaries are hereby released from all responsibility for any damage entrants might experience as a result of entering or attempting to enter this Contest.
In accepting the prize, winning entrants authorize the use of their name, photograph, image, place of residence, voice and/or statements for advertising purposes, without any expectation of compensation.
8 ERRORS
Lavo Inc. is the Organizer of this Contest. The retailers participating in this Contest can in no way be held responsible for the operation or any other aspect of the Contest.
Without limiting the scope of the Waiver identified in paragraph 9 of these rules, it is understood that the Beneficiaries intended by the Waiver shall not be liable for:
8.1.1 any insufficient or faulty information whose cause is related to the users of the Contest website, the equipment or program used for this Contest or related to a technical or human error that might occur in the course of processing the Contest entry forms;
8.1.2 technical difficulties or issues with networks, telephone lines, online computer systems, servers or suppliers, software or applications, including viruses and bugs;
8.1.3 the inability, for any reason, including internet traffic or website traffic or both, to receive or send email;
8.1.4 any damage caused to the entrant’s or a third party’s software or hardware from participation in this Contest or downloads of material related to this Contest.
9 RÉGIE DES ALCOOLS, DES COURSES ET DES JEUX DU QUÉBEC
The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion and subject to the jurisdiction of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, if there should be a computer bug or virus, unauthorized human involvement or any other cause beyond the Organizer’s control which could corrupt or affect the running, security, fairness or normal Contest process.
In no case may the Contest Organizer or any companies, corporations, trusts, affiliates or legal entities controlled by or related to it, as well as their employees, agents and representatives, be obliged to award more prizes than is stipulated in these rules and regulations or to award prizes other than what is provided in these rules.
The Contest Organizer, its companies, corporations, trusts, affiliates or other legal entities controlled by or related to it, as well as their employees, agents and representatives reject all liability of any type whatsoever in any case of inability to act resulting from an event or a situation beyond their control, or by a strike, a lockout or any other work conflict within their establishment or the establishment of companies whose services are used for the operation of this Contest.
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
All decisions of the Contest Organizer or its representatives relating to this Contest are final and not subject to appeal, subject to the jurisdiction of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.
For the purposes of these rules, the participant and/or entrant is the individual whose name is entered on the Contest entry form and to whom the prize will be awarded if selected and declared a winner.
These rules are available on the Contest website through the agents of the “Fashion Truck Tour” during activity hours. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The Prize cannot be transferred and must be accepted as awarded without substitution, except at the Organizer’s sole discretion. If the Prize cannot be awarded in the manner described, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value. Subject to what is provided in these rules, the Contest Organizer’s decisions and those of its supervisory agent (Promotions Speed) are final and not subject to appeal.
The Beneficiaries will not be liable for letters and entry forms that are illegible, incomplete, fraudulent, lost or registered late, and which will be declared null and void.
The use of automated systems is forbidden.
The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude from this or any future contest or promotions it might hold, any entrant found to be violating the Contest Rules, tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest Website, or any related promotional website, violating the general rules or guidelines and/or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest website or any related website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Organizer reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Participation in this Contest includes agreement and acceptance of these rules; the Contest Organizer is responsible for enforcing the rules.
10 LANGUAGE
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version shall prevail.
11 SEVERABILITY
If a paragraph in these rules is declared unenforceable or invalid by a court of law, that paragraph will be considered invalid but the remainder will continue to be valid and enforceable to the extent permitted by law.
