Contest Rules & Regulations

How to enter

The “The king of the grill!” contest begins on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. You must access the contest’s entry form on Brault et Martineau’s website https://www.braultetmartineau.com. Fill the entry form to get one (1) participation to the contest.

The participation will exclusively be done by the method above mentioned. The contest is limited to one entry per email address throughout the duration of the contest. Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.

Printed or photocopied entry forms received by mail will not be accepted.

This contest is open to anyone 18 years or older living in Quebec or Ontario. Brault et Martineau’s employees, agents, suppliers and/or representatives of Brault et Martineau, distribution companies or affiliated firms, advertising agencies or any other direct or indirect contributors to the contest as well as the people with whom they reside are not eligible to enter this contest. Any winner that does not respect the present conditions and eligibility criteria will be automatically disqualified. The winner who does not respect the present conditions and eligibility criteria is entirely responsible of informing Brault et Martineau on the first time they are contacted.

Prize draw

The draw among all the valid participations received will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Brault et Martineau’s head office located at 8500 Place Marien in Montreal-East, Quebec following a random draw among all participants. 10 finalists will be drawn and contacted by email. The finalists must respond before Monday, March 26, 2017 10 am to verify their eligibility. A second draw will be done among the eligible candidates. The winner will be contacted by email.

For the prize to be awarded, the winner must respond to the message and accept the prize to be delivered by Friday, March 30, 2017 at the latest and accept that a picture of the prize along with the winner be taken. This picture may be used by Brault et Martineau in the media of its choice without any form of compensation.

The name of the winner will be announced by a post on the Brault et Martineau’s Facebook page on Wednesday, March 28, 2017.

The refusal to accept the chosen prize as is, regardless of the reason for refusing it, shall release from any and all obligation Brault et Martineau, its respective companies and divisions, affiliates as well as their respective directors, managers and employees. No compensation shall be claimable in the case of refusal, and the prize shall be cancelled.

The prize must be accepted as described in these rules & regulations and the winner may not request to substitute it for another prize or exchange in full or part for cash and/or transfer it to another person or apply it against a future or past purchase. The prize may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash.

Detailed prize description

Brault et Martineau hereby declares that the estimated detail value of this contest prize is as follows:

General information

By entering this contest, the winners authorize the organizers and their agents to use, if necessary, their name, picture, image and/or voice to inform via all medias that they won the contest or are contest finalists and this without any form of compensation.

Entries obtained through fraudulent or falsified means or entries that are counterfeit, incomplete or received late because of technical or computer problems or any other error or reason may be cancelled at Brault & Martineau’s sole discretion.

Brault & Martineau shall not be responsible for technical, mechanical, computer or production errors and may elect to cancel or terminate the contest should such errors arise, without any obligation or warning, at its sole discretion and subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.

Brault et Martineau shall not be responsible for technical errors or difficulties stemming from a server, hardware or software failure, a transmission problem or the loss, disappearance or alteration of the data sent by the contest entrant.

Brault et Martineau shall not be responsible for damages caused to a user’s system following said user’s contest entry or downloading of information needed to enter the contest.

The contest rules are available at https://www.braultetmartineau.com/ and may be obtained from Brault et Martineau’s head office 8500 Place Marien in Montreal-East, Quebec by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

The refusal to accept the prize as is—regardless of the reason invoked to justify such refusal—shall discharge Brault et Martineau from any and all obligations, including prize delivery. No compensation shall be claimable in the case of refusal, and the prize shall be cancelled.

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of attempting to settle it. The decisions made by Brault et Martineau as part of the contest are final and binding.

In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version shall take precedence.
